The Blair Area Community Foundation exists to facilitate individual and corporate contributions to recognized, non-profit organizations.  As a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation is a flexible way for both large and small donors to receive these benefits:

Please consider helping groups  participating in our "Organizations List" program.  Contributions may also be made to local, non-profit organizations of your choosing** or to the Blair Area Community Foundation for support of future community needs.

* Because of the generosity of Washington County Bank and its administration of the Blair Area Community Foundation Visa Card, 100% of every dollar you give will go directly to the projects of your choice.  All of the Foundation's expenses are covered by revenues generated from the Visa card accounts.

  ** A gift through the BACF can benefit any charitable cause in Washington County, Nebraska as long as the receiving organization is either (a) identified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity (which is not a private foundation), described in sections 509(a)(1)-(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, (b) a governmental entity, or (c) a church or synagogue.  For an approved list of local organizations go to the Organizations List section of this site.  Additionally, the receiving organization cannot provide anything of value to the donor in return for the donation.  The Blair Area Community Foundation reserves the right to refuse any contribution.
