Endowed
scholarships may be established through the Foundation by making a gift of
$25,000 or more.
The scholarship funds listed below have been
established through designated gifts from members of the community.
LeRoy
Larsen Nurses Education Fund
The LeRoy Larsen Nurses Education Fund was established in
August of 1999 by LeRoy Larsen. The purpose of the fund is to provide
educational scholarship assistance to students of nursing. Income derived
from the fund may be used for scholarships for educational purposes, including
books, tuition, and lab expenses for students selected by the Washington County
Nurses Association. In determining the recipients of scholarship
assistance preference is given to residents of Washington County, Nebraska and
Burt County, Nebraska, or to students who attend high school in either county.
Procedures to receive applications, select recipients, and
notify recipients are the responsibility of the Washington County Nurses
Association.

2007 - $1,000 to Emily Grabow, $1,000 to Sarah Jordan, $1,000 to Sarah
McPhillips, $1,000 to Carie Miller, and $1,000 to Kimberly Rasmussen
2006 - $1,000 to Melisa Marie Bergman, $1,000 to Rachael L. Krutilek
2005 - $500 to Melanie Stodola, $500 to Amy Birdsong, and $500 to Christina
Arnold
2004 - $500 to Kelly Puckett
2002 - $750 to Erin Leishman and $750 to Lexie Mintken

Connie
Huse Memorial Scholarship
The Connie Huse Memorial
Scholarship was established in November of 2000 by Gary Huse in memory of his
wife, Connie. The scholarship is in the amount of $200 and restricted to
one student each academic year from the Blair (Nebraska) High School.
Preference is given to students who choose to pursue an academic course of study
in business administration. The student shall have an earned cumulative
grade point average of 3.0 or higher and shall be enrolled full-time in an
accredited college or university.
Procedures to receive applications, select recipients, and
notify recipients are the responsibility of the Blair High School.
