JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH GROUP SCHEDULE: Youth Group is open to any young person in junior high. Our goal is to meet twice a month for fun, building friendships, food, and to encounter God in our midst. If you have any questions, please talk with Rev. Miller at 468-5683.
NOTE: We are trying to collect Email addresses to send out reminders for Junior High events. If you would like to be included in these reminders please send your Email address to ftcalhounpresbyterian@yahoo.com. CONFIRMATION: Confirmation is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the faith and life of a disciple of Christ. This encounter starts in 7th grade and lasts for two years. Why two years? Because it is impossible to talk about God, the Bible, and faith issues in six weeks or even one year. The content of the curriculum rotates each year, so over the two years of classes they will receive the complete Confirmation instruction. During the 2006/2007 year we looked at the six marks of discipleship. Instruction included class work and projects throughout the year that helped strengthen their understanding of what was discussed each week. Each young person, when finished, chooses to begin this faith journey and reaffirm their baptismal vows or are baptized and affirm their faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior.
