Four menu plans have been developed, and volunteers have signed up to provide a portion of one (or more!) of these. When called by a Deacon, volunteers will prepare items and drop them off at church at an appointed time to be delivered by the team’s driver. You may notify the church office (468-5683) if you know of a need for a Project S.O.S. meal. YMCA CORPORATE DISCOUNTThank you to Sarah Davis, Blair YMCA Membership Director, for acknowledging 6 or more of our church families to qualify for corporate membership discounts! Monthly drafts were discounted beginning January 1, 2007 and annual renewals will be reduced on their next anniversary date. The savings is approximately $30 per year. For seven known families that's a total of $210 liberated annually for the stewardship of bringing people to Christ! "Let nothing be wasted," said Jesus in John 6:12. PROJECT LINUSProject Linus is a non-profit organization that collects homemade fleece blankets, quilts, and afghans. The blankets are then distributed to seriously ill children in hospitals. They accept blankets of all sizes, as they distribute them to premature babies through teenagers. The only conditions are that the blankets be new, handmade, and washable. For more information, please contact the local chapter coordinator: Ginny DeBates at 212-3975, or look at their web site at www.projectlinus.org.
