Our Fort Calhoun Church family invites you to prayerfully consider what membership means to God and to us. God has given us a unique opportunity to pursue Christ and His Kingdom among one another, our families, the greater Washington County area, and the world, in cooperation with Presbyterians and all other Christians. We believe that Jesus Christ is Head of the Church and our covenant of membership guides us to faithfulness in our worship, mission, and life together. It also helps us remain faithful to Biblical, Reformed and Confessional Christian faith in following Jesus Christ as serious disciples. We invite you to become an active member after prayerful study, communication with our pastor, and getting to know other Active Members of the Fort Calhoun family. Below you will see what helps us remain faithful to our active membership, and we give them to you for your consideration. Our Covenant of MembershipWe believe that membership comes through

One becomes an active member of the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and acceptance of His Lordship in our lives. Baptism and public profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord are visible signs of entrance into the active membership of the church. We believe that membership is inclusive! Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church welcomes all persons who respond in trust and obedience to God's grace in Jesus Christ and desire to become part of the membership and ministry of His church. No persons shall be denied membership because of race, ethnic origin, worldly condition, or any other reason not related to profession of faith. We believe membership means ministry! After instruction and examination by the session, these persons shall reaffirm publicly their profession of faith and their acceptance of responsibility in the life of the Church. Active Member An active member of a particular church is a person who has made a profession of faith in Christ, has been baptized, has been received into membership of the Church, has voluntarily submitted to the government of this Church, and participates in the Church's work and worship.
