FAITH VILLAGE SUNDAY SCHOOLFaith Village (Sunday School) meets from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. during the school year. Families gather in the sanctuary for the church service. After the "Adventures in the Kingdom" young people's message the preschool through 6th grade age students go to Faith Village in the Education Building. Faith Village will resume September 9, 2007. We use a Workshop Rotation model for Sunday School and have transformed the Education Building into "FAITH VILLAGE." We have set up a variety of workshops that the children rotate to through a three or four week rotation; learning the same story via different learning mediums. This is a more interactive learning experience, reinforcing the lesson over multiple weeks through different means such as drama, art, and games. We hope to teach Bible stories in memorable ways so the story can grow up with the child and the meaning can continue to unfold throughout the child's developmental stages. Please
also pray about your role in Faith Village. We are really excited about the upcoming rotations but need you to lead
the workshops. Yes - you!! We know you are reading this thinking -
Me? Certainly not, I don't have the skills or the time to do something
like that or I taught when my kids were in Sunday school - it's someone else's
turn. We would like to challenge each of you to pray about volunteering to
lead a workshop for one rotation of Faith Village this year. What a wonderful testament it would be to the youth of our
church. They would know how special they are and get to know each member
of our church family. ADULT BIBLE STUDIESOFFERING #1: FRIDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY:

CONFIRMATION ENCOUNTERConfirmation is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the faith and life of a disciple of Christ. This encounter starts in 7th grade and lasts for two years. Why two years? Because it is impossible to talk about God, the Bible, and faith issues in six weeks or even one year. The content of the curriculum rotates each year, so over the two years they attend class they will receive the complete Confirmation instruction. During the 2006/2007 year we looked at the six marks of discipleship. Instruction included class work and projects throughout the year that helped strengthen their understanding of what was discussed each week. Each young person, when finished, chooses to begin this faith journey and reaffirm their baptismal vows or are baptized and affirm their faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior. For additional information visit the Confirmation page. If you have questions, please contact Pastor Miller.
