APPLICATION FOR TEMPORARY USE PERMIT
Section 614
Supplemental Use Regulations: Temporary Use
These
provisions are intended to permit occasional, temporary uses and activities,
when
consistent with the objectives of the Zoning Ordinance and compatible with
surrounding
uses. They are further intended to
prevent temporary uses from assuming the character
of permanent uses.
Required conditions:

Each site shall be left free
of debris, litter, or other evidence of the use upon its
completion or removal.
·
The Planning Commission, or
its designee, may establish other conditions, which
he/she deems necessary to ensure compatibility with
surrounding land uses.

This authorizes the City
Planning Commission, City Council and Building Inspector to enter upon the
property during normal working hours for the purpose of becoming familiar with
the proposed situation.
The Planning
Commission, or its designee, may authorize a temporary use only if he/she
determines that:

The
use will not impair the normal operation of a present or future permanent use on
the site.
·
The
use will be compatible with surrounding uses and will not adversely affect the
public health,
safety, and welfare.
·
The
duration of the permit shall be explicitly stated on the permit.
·
Decisions
of the Zoning Administrator may be appealed to the Board of Adjustment.
