| Can’t send e-mail and you’re
not sure why? |
A common problem for those who use
e-mail programs, such as Outlook Express, is the inability to send
e-mails using their program of choice.
This kind of problem can occur for a variety of reasons, but the most
frequent culprit is that the account isn't setup to properly
"authenticate SMTP" (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol). The process of
authentication requires your mail software to send a username and
password to HunTel.net's servers before our system will accept the
message. This prevents people from sending out junk mail using our
servers. If you think this fix may help, compare your account’s settings
with the ones listed on our e-mail set-up guides.
