A quick fix for Firefox users

If you’re one of a growing number of people who use Mozilla FireFox for your Internet browser, the company is recommending that all users download and install version 1.0.7 due to a recently discovered security vulnerability.

You can get the latest version by visiting www.getfirefox.com or downloading it from HunTel.net’s downloads page. (http://www.huntel.net/home/support/downloads/)

Mozilla cited the need to fix a buffer overflow and Linux shell command vulnerability as the reason for the upgrade to Firefox. There were a number of other vulnerabilities that should be corrected with the new version.

If you haven’t tried Mozilla’s Firefox, it may be worth your time as it has a number of clever features not found on other browsers. It features tabbed browsing, built-in pop-up ad blockers, and a handy downloading system that automatically saves files to your desktop. This makes them easy to find once the download is complete. More information on the browser’s features is available on the company’s web site.

If you have any questions regarding your Internet service or HunTel.net’s downloads page, please contact our tech support number at 533-5777 (Washington County and Omaha) or 1-888-491-9115 (toll-free statewide).
