Workout Websites

Having trouble sticking to your New Year’s Resolution to exercise more? We’ve found some great websites that have many tips, tricks, and workout routines to keep you motivated all year long.

Working out hard is said to be ten percent physical and ninety percent mental. We all need a little motivation sometimes to keep us going. This site gives the top ten secrets of exercise motivation including some tips, such as working out with a friend or rewarding yourself with a treat every now and then.

Some people would prefer to lift weights rather than get a cardiovascular workout or vise versa. Great information for both workout styles is available on the web. This great site shows you how to do plyometrics, which are explosive movements such as bounding, hopping, and jumping. It also reveals some weight training techniques, and even some Olympic style weightlifting. All of these techniques are shown on video clips. If you are someone who would rather raise your heart rate and get a cardiovascular workout, we found this site for you. It demonstrates the perfect form used for cycling, running, and swimming, while giving you some great drills to do with them.

This is a great site to go to that can answer almost any health and fitness question you have. It has articles regarding everything from ways to burn fat and to build muscle to the truth behind many exercise myths. Each article is written by a certified personal trainer or coach.
After a long, hard workout it is very important to stretch your muscles. Many people do not know the correct stretching techniques. This site has dozens of stretches and shows you how to do each one through video clips.

After a while your workouts may become stale and boring, but if you look at some of these websites, you can add some variety in your workout to keep your exercise routine on a roll. If you are not so sure where you want to begin and want to keep looking, this site is a portal to forty websites with workouts and exercises on each one of them.
