Catalog description: Teaching procedures and activities for reading instruction in a balanced reading program that incorporates the use of children’s literature and skill instruction. Different genre of children’s literature will be used to promote children’s development of strong reading skills. Prerequisites: EDU 211, successful completion or concurrent enrollment in EDU 275 or for special education majors, successful completion of SPD 252.
